Being Grateful

Hello all!

Today's blog is on being grateful. I have been hearing a lot lately about recognizing the things in your life you are grateful for and taking time each day to acknowledge them.  This is to bring more joy and happiness into your life.

A news report on CBC the other night reported that big corporations are now embracing this concept and finding the results stunning! When the company encourages and aids the employees by allowing time each day to reflect on what they are grateful for and allowing time each day for "happy time", productivity increases!

I have also been told to start each day writing down or saying out loud 3 or even 5 things that you are grateful for.  By doing this for consistently for a couple of weeks your mood changes and you start to see your life from a happier point of view and good things come into your life.  Maybe the good things were always there but we never really saw them before we actively started looking.  We just took them for granted, like, when your wake up and the sun is shining, instead of say "finally!",  we should say "how wonderful!"

I will start today by saying 5 things I am grateful for: 1. My Family (husband, kids, parents, in-laws)

                                                                                   2. My home 

                                                                                   3. My Dog

                                                                                   4. My Health

                                                    finally for today      5. My profession - I love what I do!

It take's no time at all and I challenge myself and my readers to embrace this and go ahead and give it a try.  I will write a follow up blog in a couple of weeks and we will check out the results!
