Don't forget to spring forward Sunday morning!

This is the weekend most Canadians will lose an hour of sleep as they switch from standard time to daylight saving time.

Before going to bed Saturday night, turn your clocks and watches ahead one hour.

While you’re changing your clocks this weekend, it’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm installed on every level and outside all sleeping areas.

Also, as of last April, every Ontario home with a fuel burning appliance or attached garage must have a working carbon monoxide alarm outside all sleeping areas.

Homeowners are responsible for installing and maintaining the alarms while landlords are responsible for their rental properties.

Failing to do so can lead to charges and a maximum fine of up to $50,000 for individuals and $100,000 for corporations. You could also get jail time.
