Thanksgiving & Halloween Festivities

Description:
The Halloween spirit begins to howl at Drysdales and the Evergreen Store. Open 7 days a week to help you in the search for a great pumpkin in the 4 acre pumpkin patch. The Evergreen Store will fulfill your needs from corn stocks, straw bales to devilish delights to decorate your home inside and out. 

Weekend Festivities Include: Wagon rides to pick your own pumpkin, live entertainment, train rides, bonfire, face painting, hay maze, haunted house and more!
 

 

Ghost Bus Tour

Description:

A city transit bus has been transformed into a scary place for ghouls and goblins to explore! Once again, the ghost bus will be visiting recreation centres bringing free Halloween fun for all ages. Over 1,500 brave souls made it safely through the bus last year, do you think you have the courage to make it through this year?

 You can visit the bus at the following locations and times:

  • Monday October 26, 5–7pm
    Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Drive
  • Tuesday October 27, 5–7pm
    East Bayfield Community Centre, 80 Livingstone St. E.
  • Wednesday October 28, 5–7pm
    Lampman Lane Community Centre, 59 Lampman Lane
  • Thursday October 29, 5–7pm
    Holly Community Centre, 171 Mapleton Avenue

In addition to the Ghost Bus, each location will offer an array of Halloween themed activities that are fun for all ages. Certain activities will only run while supplies last.

Description:
Bring your friends and celebrate Hallowe’en with us as ghosts, goblins and ghouls come alive! Join in on the fun with games, activities and treats for all ages. 

For braver souls, join us outside for the Haunted Haven that will raise the hair on the back of your neck. This year’s haunting promises to be spooktacular! For the not so brave, there’s always our Boo Barn, perfect for younger Trick or Treaters. Be sure to dress for the weather and enjoy some great Hallowe’en fun!

Marsh Monster
Description:
See what awaits you when darkness takes over the Marsh. Wye Marsh will be overrun with ghouls, ghosts and goblins during the annual Marsh Monster Halloween event. Prepare yourself for a naturally frightening night with zombie walks, scavenger hunts, a haunted house with games and crafts, and the always spooky Marsh Monster mystery tours. The Marsh Monster Mystery tour takes visitors into the dark depths of the forests to explore and help a Wye Marsh naturalist solve the mystery that is plaguing the Marsh. Tours leave every 15 minutes. Visitors can then choose ... if they dare ... to return to the safety of the centre through the zombie infested woodland trail. Once inside, visitors can take their chances in the haunted carnival. There will be games and crafts with prizes including a family membership to Wye Marsh. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume and bring a flash light.
