Wow! The market has been very active in Barrie during the month of September. The year to date average price for homes sold within the City of Barrie was $301,215. This was a five percent increase compared to the average selling price in the same periodlast year.
However, it is still interesting to note that the overall supply remains levels seen in the past decade. Active residential listings on our association system is down eight per cent from levels at the end of September 2012. There was only3.8 months of inventory at the end of September 2013. The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sellcurrent inventories at the current rate od sales activity. In the past we have had five to six months inventory.
This is positive for Sellers. If you are thinking about moving in the next 6 months therer is no time like now to get your home on the market. Don't let the fall or winter months slow you down, there are still buyers out there looking to purchase a new home!
