Shelter box - International Rotary Project - Bringing it "HOME"

Shelter box - Sleep out - Friday Sept. 28th, 2012

Inviting you all to come to my sleep over!   I am spending 24hours in a tent along with Barb Baguley the Mayor of Innisfil to support the "shelterbox" program.   In times of great disaster such as flood, huricane etc.  these emergency boxes are shipped out to where they are needed.  They provide a family of 10  - shelter, a stove, blankets, utensils, some building tools such as hammer - saw.  Each box costs $1000 dollars.   I hope our boxes never need to be used,  however this Rotary program has been supporting many unfortunate people who have lost their homes for a few years. We will have a shelter box available to see the contents. Each box weighs 75 lbs.
