Events continue throughout the year, including the Barrielicious Festival, Winterfest, Waterfront Festival, and Santa Claus Parade.

Dunlop Street is the heart of the entertainment district with many restaurants and bar. A huge sprinkler is popular with kids in the summer. City Hall hosts a small outdoor skating rink.

For boat tours, the Serendipity Princess padelwheeler takes people around the lake.

Flying Monkeys Brewery offers free tours on weekends. Growlers through cases of beer along with glassware and souvenirs are for sale.
