Interfaith Food Bank to receive $100,000.00 from Flip4Food Project

An initiative of Cedar Ridge Quality Homes and Action Team of Century 21 Foothills Real Estate, the Flip4Food Project was a huge success, raising funds and awareness for Interfaith Food Bank.

Last summer, with the support of several key businesses throughout the city, a beautiful show home was constructed in the Riverstone subdivision on the city's west side. Numerous local suppliers and contractors contributed tot he Filp4Food Project along with several local media outlets and retail establishments. Net proceeds from the sale of the home will be presented to Interfaith Food Bank on Monday, July 5th at 10am.

Runds raised from the Flip4Food Project have been earmared for Interfaith Food Bank's Building Fund. In addition to providing emergency food services, the organization has been charged with the responsibility to provide a safe, clean environment in which to conduct their activities. With the growth of the organization, and the aging condition of their existing rental facility, the time has now come for Intterfaith Food Bank to acqure a home of their own. This unprecedented donation from Cedar Ridge Quality Homes and the Action Team of Century21 Foothilss REa Estate will kick off Interfaith Food Bank's new capital campaign to encourage others to contribute to the building Fund and to help raise funds for a new home for Interfaith. Media outlets are encouraged to send representation to the cheque presentation to help us inform the community of this large contribution, and to encourage others to join the food bank's capital compaign.

The Flip4Food Project is another excellent example of how we can all do our part to support those in need in our community. In addition to making donations of food or funds, local businesses can do what they do best to benefit the food bank by offering discounts on services, or by donating time and/or product to the cause.
