Also keep abreast of real estate market news for Red Deer and Central Ab by checking in at - Red Deer's real estate news and information hub.

If you're planning to buy or sell residential real estate in the near future it's important to know as much as possible about your local market.

Not only is it important to know what is happening in the market at any given time it's also important to know what the market has done historically to make predictions.

Putting weekly real estate updates together I want to state upfront that a real estate market is local. Also note, when someone says "Canadian real estate market" or even "Alberta real estate market" it almost certainly doesn't directly apply to your local market. Often you hear people making decision or giving advice based national  and international real estate information. Take non-local information with a grain of salt, it may have practically zero relevance to your local market. And before making any real estate decision call an experience local Realtor® for advice!

4 weeks in a row with positive inventory but the positive number isn't too atrocious. The snow is gone for good now and we should now witness the true effects of a spring market. We might also see listings flatten out to a normal rate as failed sales attempts from last year slow down or sell. Only the best priced homes will sell in our current market.

Keep in mind it's is the ultimate buyers market in Central Ab and other varialbe indicate it might be thee best time to buy moving forward. Most buyers will wait to see but if you do you could miss this flooded buyer market and you also might miss out current low interest rates. Learn more by reading this article CLICK

For all the people out there planning to buy, understand a situation like this lends itself to being the best time to buy. It is currently an extreme buyers market throughout Central Ab and that's never as apparent as when it's over and you've missed it. Don't miss it. It will be an interesting year, and if you're planning to buy a home the market is in your favour - it might not be as favourable in a year. When listings far outnumber sales pricing will be impacted negatively.
