“North” is a relative term, but to many living in the Greater Toronto Area, “north” is becoming more and more desirable. You only have to the drive down the 400 on a Friday evening to see the 10’s of thousands of cars, bumper to bumper, driving “north” to escape the hectic city life, to be rewarded with a day or two of peacefulness. With many average city households unable to afford waterfront property in the Muskokas, families are starting to consider North Bay and area as a new go to destination. With the completion of the four laning of Hwy 11, a new Regional Hospital, lakes around nearly every corner, and relatively affordable waterfront, it is no wonder that we are seeing more and more families purchasing recreational and year round waterfront properties in the area!
One of the area’s best kept secrets is non-other than our very own East Ferris. Having grown up in Astorville and owning property in Corbeil, I have had the pleasure of seeing just how special our local “northern” waterfront can be. From the picturesque shores of the south side of Trout Lake to the western half of Lake Nosbonsing we here in East Ferris are very lucky to have some of the most user friendly and diverse waterfront in the area! Affordable taxes, local shopping and endless outdoor recreation, and being just close enough to North Bay makes East Ferris the perfect amount of “North”.
It is safe to assume that the popularity of our community is only going to continue to grow, and with that, the importance to keep our “northern” roots!
I am happy to answer any local market questions at any time!
