Once again, Century 21 Assurance Realty was the leading fund raiser at the Okanagan Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay, held at the Apple Bowl, June 11-12, 2011.
Century 21 Assurance (with a bit of help from Century 21 Executives) raised over $18,000, compared to $6,000 for the second leading money raiser, WestJet. This is the fifth time, in five entries, that Century 21 Assurance has been the top fund raiser at the 24 Hour Relay. Special thanks go to Sandra Ciolfi and Kim Waldherr for their work in organizing the event. Special thanks also go to all our friends, clients, corporate sponsors, and others who contributed money or material for our silent auction and helped us raise $18,000. Additionally we would like to thank all the Realtors, their friends and families who collected pledges and silent auction items and completed laps in th erealy.
I shttered my left tibia 3 months before the event, so it was a big deal for me to run (limp) a couple of laps. Firtunately, I was able to play the "sympathy card" and between sponsors for my run ($3,540 to date) and wineries who contributed auction items to me (approx $3,000 more) I was able to raise more money than the second place team. I want to thank all those who contributed to my "run" and those wineries who reciprocated for all the wine I buy form them, for making such a great contribution to "the kids".
