Say It Ain't So

Just as I was getting ready for training camp, the news last week put a real damper on my enthusiasm. However, talks between the CFL and the CFLPA ( Canadian Football League Players Association) are to resume today with the main area of dispute being money: Salary Cap and minimum salary. The current collective bargaining agreement expires at midnight Thursday, yes tomorrow! The regular season is set to begin on June 28, 2014 (if things are not solved, perhaps 2015???)

Here's hoping something good will occur, I'm talking about the owners freeing up more money especially after signing, what some regard as a rather lucrative (for the CFL anyway) TV contract with TSN.
