Century 21 Commercial Leases space beside Husky to new Radio Station

This summer Drumheller residents should be able to tune into 99.5 FM to hear some good' ol rock and roll. Last year Golden West Radio was granted a licence to open a FM radio station, and according to newly appointed manager, Ron Zuke, progress is being made to open later this year. He says the company has secured the 2,000 square foot building listed by Bob Sheddy, commercial associate with Century 21 Power Realty Ltd. on the east side of the Husky/Macs convenience store on South Railway Avenue, and hope to be on the air in the near future. "We're looking at sometime in the spring, but we don't really want to pigeonhole ourselves into any dates, but I think before summer hits we'll be on the air," said Zuke. "We're excited for Drumheller, expanding and spreading our wings into Alberta and are looking forward to being in the community, part of the community, and reflecting the community back to itself." Golden West was the successful applicant to the CRTC for a licence to broadcast a FM signal in the valley.
