ADVERTISING YOURSELF ON FACEBOOK

If you've been following our series so far, you've learned how to set up your own Facebook profile and brand page, as well as how to use Timeline effectively. Now all that's left is learning how to promote it.

Facebook advertising may be the key to helping you reach potential clients interested in your page and its content.

THE BASICS

When you go to the preferences section of your brand page, you'll see a section to "Create an Ad." Once clicked, select the brand page you'll be advertising and Facebook will take you through its options.

If you choose to promote a specific post from your page, you can select any piece of content you've posted and the ad version will appear in the preview area as users would see it in their Newsfeed.

You can also choose to show Stories about users' friends liking your page. This will create an ad that looks similar to this.

CUSTOM ADS

If you're looking to get more creative with your advertising, you can select the option to make a new ad about your page.

This will open up content fields for your Headline, Text and any Image you feel is appropriate for your ad.

THE RIGHT PEOPLE & THE RIGHT PRICE

Scroll down and you'll be able to choose the exact type of person you'd like to reach based on Facebook's targeted demographic information.

Once you've selected your audience, set your advertising budget. Facebook makes it easy for you to budget the exact amount you'd like to spend and how long you'd like your ad to run. And you'll only pay when someone clicks on your ad.

That's all there is to know! Whether you decide to go the basic route or try an ad that's a little more customized, Facebook can help you reach more homebuyers and sellers.
