CN Pushes 400 Acre Distribution Centre in Milton

More jobs coming to Milton?  Interesting article in the Toronto Star, regarding the new distribution centre.

San Grewal writes: "CN's executive vice president of corporate services, Sean Finn, believes the new 400 acre distribution centre to be built in Milton, will create many jobs as well as bring potential benefits of goods from around the world to southern Ontario markets.  This facility is proposed to be built near Brittania North Lower Baseline and South Tremain Road East.  Trucks will have access to highways 403, 401 and 407.  As well as trucks, CN plan an intermodal rail system, making this facility a $250 million dollar project."

"Top officials in Milton believe the terminal will bring up to 1,500 trucks and 4 additional trains a day to Milton.  The Mayor and chief administrator believe it could be devastating for the town bringing property values down.  CN had looked at many other possible locations but found Milton to be the best location mostly due to east highway access."

Residents of Milton, what are your thoughts?  Please let my know?
