Judging by the highlights on the sports shows, hockey is back. And while the NHL is just starting the pre-season, the Oakville Blades are in full swing, as they will be playing game 4 of their regular season this Friday.
Being the huge hockey fan that I am, it was only fitting to be back again this season as a major sponsor for the Blades. I will be front and centre for this Friday's game against the Mississauga Chargers, start time is 7:30pm.
I will be holding a draw for $100 worth of movie passes, so be sure to fill out a ballot that evening.
The Oakville Blades in recent years have had much success and now have the facility to match their on ice performance. Sixteen Mile Sports Complex (SMSC) is a state of the art facility and has it all. It is the perfect venue to watch junior hockey, it has individual seating, a four sided score clock, a large restaurant that over looks all the action not to mention plenty of parking. Located at 3070 Neyagawa Blvd, just north of Dundas.
So far so good. Last week the Oakville Blades christened the brand new Sixteen Mile Sports Complex (SMSC) on Saturday night with a 5-3 victory over the Newmarket Hurricanes. The Blades improved to 3-1-0-0 on the season after their win on Monday night versus Hamilton.
Please be sure to say hi and I look forward to seeing some old and new faces on Friday night.
