For geeks like me - the announcement that Google is incorporating Social media in its search results was electrifying and kind of awe inspiring "Wow - what will that look like?"

Then I wondered how it will work...

Ok - I do not understand all the techy stuff but for the most part this video is in laymans terms that you will understand if you are an active user of social media.

The net result is that your search experience should be more relevant to your individual interests, location and likes and dislikes. The one critical piece of the social search puzzle is having a Google profile - and being signed in to it if you want to have this more personalized version of search operational for you when you use Google search.

The internet is changing how we interact -and how we give and get "word of mouth" referrals and feedback. I think this is really cool! Imagine how accountable those of us in the service business will become!
