Thirty Years Experience and Still Counting

I completed thirty three years in the real estate industry as April 2010, and certainly over that time frame I have seen a great number of changes, the majority of those changes have been for the good of the industry and the public at large who we serve every day.

I currently am a broker and it would seem by times there is never a dull moment and why should there be, after all we are dealing with people and there always seem to be a new challenge around every corner.

I still list and sell properties and I must say that I enjoy both aspects of the transaction and it keeps you sharp. My main focus is the residential market, however from time to time I become involved in other types of transactions.

Certainly the industry has recognized over the last number of years the importance of education and have addressed it in a manner where you are not able to hold your license without the necessary educational requirements being completed  on an annual basis, and as time passes on the education aspect will become  more prevalent in order to meet the changes that are sure to occurr down the road.

I still very much enjoy doing the best job I can for the buyer or the seller and get a great deal of satisfaction when all i's have been dotted and the t's  crossed and all parties to the transaction are happy, knowing I was a part of it.

After being in the industry for the length of time I have and add to that I was born and brought up in the area I service, I am very familiar with the Kings  County area and knowledgeable  about the market and the values in the different areas.

Over the years I have served on the Annapolis Valley Real Estate Board on a few occasions as a director and  vice president, I have always had an interest in how things work at the various levels in our industry, as well I
currently serve on th Discipline Comittee of the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission.
