Coming Soon - Affordable Housing Program
We understand this program to assist first time home buyers with a grant for their down payment, is coming back this month or the next. Details to follow. It is our understanding the same eligibility requirements will continue. We estimate the qualifications as noted below:
* household income less than $62,800
* assets can not exceed $20,00
* be a first time home buyer living in Simcoe County
* be a able to secure a mortgage loan at 95% loan to value
* must not owe arrears to any social housing
Unit Eligibility
* purchase price not to exceed $208,000.00
* maximum grant to be about 5% to a maximum of $8,695.00
* eligible homes include new or re-sale detached, semi semi-detached, town (condo and freehold), stacked homes, row housing or apartments.
* applicants purchasing a re-sale MUST provide a copy of a home inspection undertaken at the homeowners expense
