Welcome to my Website

I am a lifelong resident of the North Bay Region (except for a few years in Toronto) and I know the area well.  I provide bilingual (English/French), Award Winning service to clients from Sturgeon Falls to North Bay to Mattawa to Powassan and all points in between.  I have listed and sold rural properties with acreage, executive homes, waterfront homes, starter homes, vacant land, condominiums, islands and cottages.

I fully understand the personal stress involved when a client is buying his or her home....whether it is their first or last.  My goal is to protect and advise my clients in one of the most significant personal and financial decisions of their life.

Clients enjoy working with me.  They also have fun, because I love what I do and I do it well!

See what some have to say....

"As the saying goes“home is where the military sends you”  and the military has decided that North Bay is going to be home for us.We can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done to help us find the perfect house.Your professionalism, patience and expertise have meant more to us than you will know.Your knowledge of not only North Bay and the unique challenges of the military family lifestyle made this a very positive buying experience."

                           Thanks! Lorie & Mike Hall.

As I was headed to North Bay on my "HHT" to purchase my first home, I was fairly confident I knew what I was getting myself in to, I couldn't have been more wrong. I was quickly overwhelmed with the fact that I didn't know what I wanted and also, was I getting the best deal? I also heard thousands of horror stories about real estate that quickly started swarming my brain. With all this going on I was glad to have Carole as my realtor. She was constantly pointing out many flaws with houses that I overlooked and she wasn't afraid too work late to make sure I was seeing all the possibilities North Bay had to offer. Thanks to her I have purchased a home that I am sure I will love for years to come.

Thank you very much Carole for all your dedication to finding my perfect home!

"It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Carole Hunnisett from the Century 21 Team, who assisted me with the sale of my home. I really appreciated Carole's patience, and her ability to accommodate my schedule, and most importantly how much she educated me on the entire home selling process.  Carole was very up to date on the financing details and CMHC guidelines, and very eager to help me in any way possible; providing great advice, great tips and more. She paid utmost attention to detail and was very prompt and proactive to ensure that I had done everything I was supposed to do, well in advance of deadlines (utility checklist, inspections, etc.).  I would highly recommend  Carole to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home in the North Bay area."

Having found Carole to help us find the perfect house was a wonderful experience. She went out of her way for us in every aspect of the purchase. With Carole's expertise, we were successful at buying a house that wasn't even listed. We highly recommend Carole to our friends and family.

                                                                                     Julie and Bob

Carole has been my realtor for the last year and a half, and every minute spent with her has been a pleasure. I would consider myself to be a difficult client, very picky in what I am looking for regarding a home, but in saying that, over the past year and half Carole has made herself 100% accessible to me, always having the ability to answer any questions I have, whether it is at a showing, over the phone or via text messaging. She is able to transmit information to me in real time, allowing life decisions to be made almost immediately. Over the thirty homes she has shown me she has never once come across as pushy, frustrated or eager to close a deal, she does what is best for her clients all the time and always has valuable input. She is highly professional, accessible, and extremely knowledgeable about all properties that she is taking you out too see. She develops a strong relationship with her clients so that you feel comfortable in asking any question.

Personal Background

I was born and raised in the North Bay area and I have spent most of my life in this Region.  I married Joe in May 1981 and we have 2 great sons, Erik and Scott ,two daughter in laws, Danielle and Kathi and a beautiful Granddaughter, Paige.

My earlier career was in the banking industry, which gave me a particularly strong financial background....very helpful in my real estate business.  I left banking to raise the two boys and when I returned to the work force I decided to combine my financial background with my love of people and real estate.  Selling real estate is absolutely the perfect job for me!  In fact, I don't really think of it as a "job" is more of a "passion"!

Personal Interests

Aside from real estate, I am an avid downhill skiier, gardener and enjoy spending time with my pets.  Joe and I share our home with 3 dogs, a beagle, a beagle/basset and is a Black Newfoundland .  The Newfoundland, Mia is a Therapy Dog with St John Ambulance.  We visit a local Nursing home on a weekly basis and participate in various fundraising activities in the community. You will find us a the Canada Activities at the Waterfront in North Bay and the Summer in the Park weekend at Lee Park.

Community Involvement

Over the years I have served with many community organizations.  When the kids were young I was the Treasurer of their Nursery School, Elementary School, Soccer Association and Downhill Ski Racing Club.  I am a supporter of All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan (adopted 2 dogs and 1 cat) and encourage all to support the great work that Kathy does with the animals either by donating food, supplies, cash or best of all......adopt one of her rescues!  I am presently a volunteer with my newfoundland dog Mia and my Beagle/basset Ed in  the St John Ambulance Therapy Dog program.

When the therapy dog program , began  volunteers and their faithful canines brought the love and joy of a four legged companion to people living in long-term care and assisted living facilities across the province. Today more and more organization recognize the therapeutic benefits of interacting with dogs and this is taking therapy dog teams to new and exciting places like university campuses, hospitals and public events. Some cities have even included Therapy Dogs in their emergency plans to ensure displaced or stressed residents have access to a calming influence. In addition, some of the teams have become champions of literacy through the "Paws 4 Stories" program. This program helps children build confidence around reading by having them read a story to one of our qualified therapy dogs. The dog listens patiently allowing the children to practice reading in a non-judgemental environment.   For information on how to book a Therapy Dog Team for your facility please contact your local St. John Ambulance.
