Palm Springs Home of ‘Amazing Race’ Creators Is Pending

Somebody just got an amazing deal: A stunning home belonging to Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri, co-creators of the long-running CBS reality show “The Amazing Race,” has entered pending status after a series of price reductions proved too difficult for somebody to resist.

The Palm Springs, CA, home—a 6,862-square-foot beauty—recently went pending at the list price of $925,000, following a number of price cuts that chopped a whopping $410,000 off the original asking price. This may have been a (relative) bargain, as the potential buyer scored a lot for the money.

High-beamed ceilings, incredible double glass doors and a floor plan that puts an emphasis on openness and flow are all strong features of the Bella Monte home.

Every room in the home has direct access to outdoor amenities—including the garden, pool and spa. Folks who would rather spend their time indoors will enjoy the library and any number of fireplaces throughout the home.

Not that one often needs any additional heat in Palm Springs, but a dry sauna is part of the package as well.

The home is a winner; it’s no surprise it once belonged to the duo behind the show that’s won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program a whopping 13 times. Spouses van Munster and Doganieri also have branched out “The Amazing Race” franchise to include a number of international versions.
