Regina house sales ahead of 2010
In Regina and area, residential home sales in May surpassed the 400 mark for the first time since July 2009. May’s average price of $296,838 set a new high for any month in the history of the Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. MLS® System and was up 18% from May 2010. In the city, the average price of $304,370 was the first time ever to be above $300,000.
Builders started 91 single detached homes in May, which was up 49 per cent from the same month last year. There were 25 starts on multi-family units (apartments, row homes, semi-detached homes), up slightly from 22 in May last year.
The Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. expects that activity will remain strong in Regina for the foreseeable future.
