Let me introduce myself to you. I am Cheryl Sebrins. I was born in our wonderful Multi-Cultural Capital City of Toronto. Since I was a little girl I have moved from many cities throughout the Golden Horseshoe area; Toronto, Port Credit, Burlington, Oakville, Grimsby and St. Catharines, and have lived in many different homes. My father's philosophy was to buy a house, renovate, increase his equity and sell; always improving his financial status. I have gained an appreciation for the value of real estate and what it can do if properly managed. Because of our many moves I have met many wonderful people in my life and have learned the importance of making friends where ever I go. I love meeting new people.
I am married to a wonderful husband, Leon, who is now a certified Home Inspector and a Home Renovator, and have 2 lovely daughters, Mary Anne and Emily. I also have two little stars in my life; Marley and Mercy, two beautiful granddaughters.
My passion in life is to help people find their dream home or just the right investment. I realize the importance of finding that place and I will take the time it takes to find it. I also have a passion for serving our Senior citizens in order to help them settle into comfortable homes. I enjoy the hospitality of the Bed and Breakfast Industry and have acquired an interest in knowing about how to start one up.
I have had different work and career influences in my life starting out with Babysitter, Justo-writer, Computerized Typesetter, Bookkeeper, Specifications Writer, Stenographer, Credit Clerk, Marketing Research Secretary and Children's Educational Supervisor Teaching little children was such joy, as well as, a wonderful experience. I taught them sign language and singing, as well as, Davidic dancing. We then would visit senior citizens with our performances.
I BELIEVE: A life spent helping others to achieve their goals is a life well spent.
And so, I hope that I may have the opportunity and privilege to be able to get to know you and to help you, your friends or your family with their real estate needs and provide for you the most excellence service a Realtor can provide.
Past canvasser volunteer for both the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart & Stroke Society; Parent Volunteer in Elementary Schools; Deaconess in a local church and served on two Worship Teams.
My recent education includes successfully completing Adult Computer and Business Courses Level I & II Advanced with the GSS Adult Life Time Learning Centre. I was able with this course to learn valuable knowledge relating to different software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Web site design, Corel Draw and Photo Shop. During my Secondary School Education I took a 5 Yr. Business and Commerce Course and earned a Gr. 10 Business and Commerce Award. But Art was always a secret passion of mine. In recent years I took art classes with different gifted artists learning from their techniques and since I have learned to paint with oils on canvass. Also I learned the technique of painting on fabrics to create custom made worship flags and wall banners. Also in my background of learning I have taken Canadian Economics, Blue Print Reading, Interior Design I & II at Oakville Sheridan College Night Courses.
OREA College Courses successfully completed:
- Real Estate as a Professional Career
- Land Structures and Real Estate Training
- Principles of Appraisal
- Real Property Law
- Commercial Advanced
- The Real Estate Transaction General and Residential Real Estate
Currently, my education consists of weekly trainings with my Broker of Record and/or his Associate Broker. The material is current and relevant designed to help me to be able to help advise either clients or customers. Education will be ongoing through my on-line OREA courses which have been created to help keep Realtors informed of current regulations, legislative issues and trends in the housing and commercial markets.
I am very happy to report that as of March 1/13 I have taken all of my required Articling courses with OREA, which includes Principles of Appraisal, Real Property Law and Commercial Advanced. Armed with all this and my on-going education, I feel well able to help you, my potential client, make the best decision when buying or selling a home.
My Leisure Time and Hobbies:
I thoroughly enjoy leisurely walks at the Port Weller Beach now called Sunset Beach in St. Catharines, deemed to be a 'Hidden Gem'. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets over Lake Ontario. The scenery, can be quite breathtaking there as you look across Lake Ontario. You get a grand view of Port Dalhousie Harbor to the west and Toronto skyline to the northeast.
I enjoy travelling, mostly in Canada... and why? Because I want to know more about this great and wonderful country that I live in. I have camped in beautiful Provincial Parks and have stayed in some great hotels and motels in many different cities and towns in Canada, as far as, Victoria, BC to the West, Sault Ste Marie, ON to the North and Montreal, QC to the East where I travelled to Expo '67. I am looking forward someday to traveling out to the east coast of Canada.
I enjoy visiting and helping seniors, too. It is a great honor and privilege to help them as they have contributed so much to the younger generations; to just sit down and spend time to listen and glean from the wisdom they have gained from their years of experience and to see how history has changed. In the past, I have volunteered my time with a church ministry that would hold monthly meetings. A team of us would go to bring encouraging Bible messages and songs to the elderly in nursing homes. On some occasions I would play my piano or guitar as well as the elderly would join in singing.
