The City of Humboldt is the major service center within the sourrounding region. All amenities that could be expected in a City are present in Humboldt. Location

The City of Humboldt is strategically located in central Saskatchewan on Highways 5 and 20. The Yellowhead highway (16) is 38 km south of Humboldt. Highway 2 is located 44 km to the west of the City.

Humboldt is 655 kilometres (390 miles) west of Winnipeg, about the same distance east of Edmonton and 728 kilometres (432 miles) east of Calgary. Regina lies almost directly to the south at a distance of 231 kilometres (138 miles), Saskatoon is about 113 kilometres (66 miles) to the west, and from Humboldt to the U.S.A. border is 350 km (210 miles).

Humboldt is located in the Parkland of Saskatchewan, an area of rolling hills with many trees, that lies between the open prairie to the south, and the forest region to the north.

Population

Humboldt's population is 5,765 as of 2008. Unlike many smaller cities and towns, Humboldt has seen an increase in population in the past five years, with much of the growth coming in the age 35 to 59 age categories.

Personal Background

Cheryl Torwalt - I grew up in Englefeld, a small progressive town in Rural Saskatchewan. I married Dan in 1985 and settled in the farming community of LeRoy, were we resided for 18 years.I had the pleasure of working at LeRose Lodge as a special care aid and later on I changed careers and became a librarian at LeRoy k-12 school. After which my husband Dan and I decided to retire from farming and move to Humboldt to start a career in Real Estate. I served on many community boards in LeRoy and surrounding area. Becoming president of the LeRoy Figure Skating Club, LeRoy School of Dance, Lanigan and District Music Festival and LeRoy Public Library Board, as well as serving on the LeRoy Rec Board and various other fundraising committees. I have done a lot of volunteerism, which is a huge part of rural life. I also directed highschool plays for 5 years. My present time is spent attending and helping out with my children's sporting and cultural events. Real Estate has become a big part of my life. I am continually upgrading and attending courses to further my knowledge in this fast pace business. I am very knowledgable in the Humboldt Real Estate Market Place and believe I can offer First Class Service to all my clients.
