What Lead Me to a Career in Real Estate?

As with many other Albertans, I come via Saskatchewan. My family still enjoys living in Saskatoon and in the small town I grew up in, Harris. We lived on a farm while growing up, and you'll be able to tell that as some of my interests stem from the small town life and being from Saskatchewan. (*wink*)

I am looking forward to taking some adult curling lessons this winter---haven't swept a curling broom for almost 19 years! Other sports I've enjoyed are rugby, slo pitch, and volleyball. I might regret it, but a friend is even trying to talk me into Roller Derby. I was also a member of 4H in Saskatchewan for approximately six years, and now volunteer for the Alberta 4H program locally. I love challenging myself with new and revisted interests---never too late to try something new!

In what little spare time I have, I enjoy my two Newfoundland dogs, yardwork, trying new recipies, and decorating my home in Calgary.

My past experiences have culminated to a career in real estate. Among these experiences, I became an entrepeneur in 2006, growing a business with clients in Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Leduc, Calgary, and Okotoks. Being a business owner has had many rewards, along with a lot of hard work. Without this prior knowledge and ability to priortize and keep motivated, I would not have been prepared for a career in real estate. I find many parallels between entrepeneurship and being a Century 21 Real Estate Professional. Success in business requires dedication, excellent customer service, and an extremely positive attitude. These attributes have served me very well in owning my business, and I hope you will allow me to make them work for you!
