Chris Ata is a typical Vancouverite, enjoying the beach, rollerblading the seawall and is probably one of the biggest Canucks fans you will meet, claiming Pavel Bure as his favourite player of all time. Chris, himself, began playing hockey at a very early age and ended his Junior hockey career in Golden, BC. Chris also enjoys travelling and thus far, has enjoyed the beaches of Australia, the sushi in Japan and the culture in the Philippines. THE CAUSE | Hockey Marathon of Hope!
I’m not typically the one to participate in fundraising activities but I couldn’t pass this one up. On September 7th, 2013 I’ll be participating in the “Hockey Marathon of Hope.” In short, I’ll be playing hockey (for a total of 10 hours straight) to help families and kids. I love playing hockey and how can you not love your family and kids? So playing in this fundraiser was a no brainer.
In order to play, I will need to reach my fundraising goal of $1,000. If you’re interested in supporting me - honestly, any amount is much appreciated - I encourage you to donate at:
*Please remember to name who you will be sponsoring when you donate!*
All funds will go to these two organizations:
Imani Orphan Care is a Canadian organization that helps to support children who were abandoned by their families, orphaned, or rescued from the streets and from unhealthy situations.
Doing Family Right is an organization which works to keep families together and gives parents tools they need to pass on their values to their children.
If you’re interested in learning more, you can contact me at 604.760.0207 or you can go to:
Thanks for your support!
Not all kids have the opportunity to participate in summer activities - kids with disabilities need constant care and specialized equipment that their families cannot always afford.
This year, We are taking part the Century 21 Kids to Camp, a campaign with Easter Seals. Century 21 realtors and brokers have been asked to raise money to send kids with disabilities to camp - and We've signed up! Our Goal this year is to raise $25,000.00.
So please make a donation. We are sure enough of us can make a difference!
