Personal Background and Interests

Originally from Montreal, I moved to Alberta as a young child - parents drawn out West with the oil boom. This move lead us from the busy city life of Montreal to the booming city of Fort McMurray. More like the muddy city of Fort McMurray at that time. From there I moved to Calgary to attend the University of Calgary with the aspirations of becoming a lawyer specializing in development and planning. I later moved to Red Deer and had to opportunity to enter into real estate. Though I never did become the lawyer of development and planning, I still have the opportunity to stay involved with what is happening in the Central Alberta area. This is key to assisting my clients with one of the most important decisions of their life - the purchase of their home and location. Also dealing with investors - knowing what is happening and what is developing for the  future of our area is extremely important to the construction of their profitable portfolios. This is my passion - helping my clients through this process. Growing and learning with them through the importance of multiple decisions that affect and make our region so special.

Aside from professional - I am a Mom to a gorgeous and strong minded 20 year son Nicholas and also a very gorgeous and strong minded 2 year old husky - Bugotti. I love the outdoors and being involved with community. I am also an avid Olympic lifter and Crossfitter/coach.

All the above make me feel very blessed to be part of and have in my life.

Real Estate as a whole intrigues me....but I would have to say that First Time Buyers and Investors have been the strongest components of my career thus far. Saying that however,  I would love to and look forward to expanding, in any way I can, to become as truly rounded and professional as possible in my career. I ensure to use all the communications skills I have learnt educationally, through experience, stay up-to-date with all marketing and networking tools and also make sure that I am always networking "out-side the box". Central Alberta attracts people/families from all over the world, so I am everyday trying to build relationships through businesses, other colleagues internationally etc. to ensure that my sellers are always fully represented - not only to local but also international markets and my buyers are fully educated with the trends occurring in our region vs the region they are relocating from. The difference from one region to another can be quite intimidating and so it is important that I understand what these differences are to respect what my clients may be emotionally experiencing with the change of location.

Lastly, our young generation - Y and now Z. One of the largest groups to purchase their first home in our region. I find it my due diligence to lead them in the right direction to become fully educated with their first purchase. Their long-term goal and the profits of owning vs. renting. With a majority of our youth working away in the oil field, there are great programs for them to profit by becoming not only first time buyers but first time investors. Putting their hard-earned "oil money" to use vs. to waste. That would be the Mom specialty that speaks to this demographic :-)
