Attendees will learn about the intended closure of the 111 Street Bridge prior to it being brought to City Council for approval. This includes community impacts, project timelines and planned accommodates. Participant comments and feedback are welcome and will be included in the report to Council. The City will also provide an update on 30 Avenue Bridge construction in 2013.

About the Project

The City of Edmonton has identified the 111 Street Bridge over Blackmud Creek as having reached the end of its service life. The bridge will be removed and the crossing reclaimed.

The 30 Avenue Bridge over Blackmud Creek has also reached the end of its service life and requires replacement. The approved concept plan for 30 Avenue SW is an ultimate 4 lane configuration; however, due to volumes, only two lanes will be constructed at this time.
