Not sure what to do for the Canada Day Long weekend? Here's a list of some of the events going on in the Edmonton area.
Sand on Whyte June 29 -July 8th. Watch and enjoy sand carvers create wonderful sculptures - By Gateway & Whyte Ave. Also on Whyte Ave is the Blues on Whyte Block party running from 10 - 10 on Saturday. Multiple food vendors, live music and just a really good time.
July 1st, Sherwood Park, has a parade running through the heart of the Park. Starting 10 am from the Sherwood Park Mall. Most centres around the city have a variety of pancake breakfasts, crafts, entertainment all leading up to that municipalities fireworks show. Best place to see local times is just to google it. If the weather allows - get out to the Zoo, any number of parks, Fort Edmonton, Elk Island etc. Try going for a bike ride or a hike through the river valley.
Most of all just appreciate what a great country, we live in.
Happy Canada Day!
