July 1st- Canada Day at Fort George with celebrations held in Simcoe Park during the day and Fort George in the evening.  Fireworks, music, food, cannon firing.

 

July 1st- Rotary celebrates Canada Day in Simcoe Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Stop by our booth and support Rotary through a purchase of a drink, ice-cream, hamburger, pea meal on a bun or a hot dog!! We look forward to seeing you there on July 1st!  11am- 3pm

Canada Day July 1st

Celebrate Throughout the Day and Night

11:00 am – 9:30 pm Fireworks!

The Vineyard Skating Rink and all wine and food profiled above continue in The Piazza and Founders’ Hall with the addition of Niagara Estate Chef David Penny preparing his version of Canadian favourite Poutine in the evening!

1:00 pm-2:30 pm- Celebrity Chef Demonstration and Book Signing Chefs Anna Olson & Michael Olson will be the star attraction for a uniquely Canadian food demonstration followed by a book signing.

 

As darkness sets in enjoy the unique experience of watching fireworks cascade over the Vineyards! Keep the night chill away while you roast marshmallows and enjoy Cabernet Franc Icewine S’mores.

Canada Day Contest

Inniskillin is currently holding a contest on Facebook where Canadians are encouraged to tell their ultimate Canadian wine experience story. The prize includes a trip to the winery, three nights at the award winning Harbour House in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and VIP access to Inniskillin Canada Day celebrations.

Tom Cochrane has penned such classic songs as "Life is a Highway" and "Big League" - always delivering a uniquely Canadian Perspective through his lyrics.

Andrew Cole will open for Tom with his powerful songs - according to Tom; Andrew has "a voice that most singers would die for".  The open-air Roman style Amphitheatre features general admission with seating provided. Rain or shine the show will go on.

Reif pairs his favorite summer wines with recipes from ‘locavore’ Lynn Ogryzlo’s book ‘Niagara Cooks’.
