Dock Area

Part of the Old Town, The Dock area contains the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club, a municipal parkette, a small residential neighbourhood and boutique hotels all along the Niagara River's shore.

The basin at one time was home to a major commercial operation in boat building and shipping with a railway line that came down to the water. Today the basin is full of sailboats, the railway roundhouse is but a small left over foundation in the parkette and the shoreline is a quiet area to enjoy.

The parkette features an improved shoreline with beach access to the water.
