Campers should be preparing for the annual rush to reserve a camping spot in the province’s 96 provincial parks.
The online reservation system to reserve a prime location at 113 BC campgrounds opens on Friday at 7 a.m. at discovercamping.ca.
In a Ministry of Environment press release an official said there are over 4,500 reservable sites, all equipped picnic tables and fire rings.
Last year the website handled 102,872 campsite reservations, 10 per cent more than the year before.
The reservation fee, which is non-refundable, ranges from $6 to $18 per campsite.
Reservations can also be made through an operator at 1-800-689-9025 for a $5 charge.
