Day One of Our 14 Dates of Valentine's Day!
Has the thought of Valentine's Day been keeping up at night? Has the tried and true become the old and dull? Sure, chocolates, roses and teddy bears are nice, but don't you want to be the person that does something really special? If this is the case, we're here to help you.
For day one of our 14 Dates of Valentine's Day, we're starting off with something simple, but romantic. Dust off those skates that you haven't worn in 10 years and go for a skate!

Sure, you both might not have skated in a couple of years, but skating is like riding a bike; once you know how, you always will. You'll both fall, but that adds to the experience as you will laugh and have a great time. Imagine that it's just the two of you holding hands and we know you'll be thanking us.
The great thing about this date idea is that we have plenty of rinks on PEI (both indoor and outdoor) to meet your needs. Before going out though, we do suggest that you check your local rink to see if the ice is being used for a public skate. In the case of an outdoor rink, be sure there isn't a game of shinny going on!

After your skate together, you will have to find a way to warm up. To do this, we suggest finishing the day off with a nice hot chocolate, coffee or other hot beverage. You can make them yourself, go to your local coffee shop or restaurant. This idea is pretty simple and inexpensive, but simple is a nice change of pace when you are busy all the time!
We hope you enjoyed day one of our 14 Dates of Valentine's Day and let us know what you think and help people out with date ideas on our facebook page!
