Canada's unemployment rate falls to 7.2 per cent in June, from 7.3 per cent in the previous month. Statistics Canada says 7,300 net jobs were added during June.
Peterborough remains above the national average at 8.2 per cent, though a full percentage point lower than the previous report.
In the U.S., employers added 80,000 jobs in June. The U.S. Labor Department says the unemployment rate remains unchanged at 8.2 per cent.
