Inflation rate rises to 2.6 per cent in February

Canada's inflation rate accelerates to 2.6 per cent in February. The core rate is at its highest level since Dec. 2008, up 2.3 per cent.

With the higher costs in gasoline and food prices, it is no surprise that the rate is up.  How will this effect thecentral bank when setting interest rates, only time will tell.  The central bank set 2% as their target, we have surpassed that.
