Between March 2011 and March 2012, consumer prices were up 1.9%, following a 2.6% increase in February. With the result of slower year over year increases in prices for food and energy, there difference was 0.7%.
We did see a decline in food prices in March 2012 which resulted in only a 2.2% increase. February there was a 4.1% increase.
