Barrie Colts Sweep Round One!

The Barrie Colts took a commanding 3-0 game advantage into Kingston on Wednesday and never looked back.

Playing without two vital members of the team, Anthony Camera (suspended for 3 games for flipping the puck into the crowd after being call for a penalty, eligible to return game 2 Conf Semi-final) and captain Ryan O'Connor (suspended 10 games for a hit to the head) the Colts came out strong, scoring just 10 seconds into the game on Barrie's first shot on goal. Barrie finished the game with the win and a score of 8-2, knocking Kingston out of the playoffs in 4 straight.

Barrie will now sit back and wait to find out who they will face off against in the second round. Game one and two will be played here in Barrie, likely on Thursday April 4th and Saturday April 6th.

Mark Scheifele had a great first round on the scoresheet with 4 goals and 6 assits for 10 points in 4 games. Mitchell Theoret also had a great opening series with 5 goals 3 assits for 8 points also collecting the first star in game 4.

Lets hope the layoff in between round one and two does little to stop the momentum these Colts have built during this month of March!
