Barrie events for OCTOBER!

Well, the leaves have started to change, pools are being closed up, crisp cool nights are upon us and winter lurks just around the corner. We all stop and ask ourselves, "where did the summer go?". This artist-run, juried event is one of Ontario’s finest and longest running studio tours. Forty outstanding artists and crafts people will exhibit their work over the 4 days at 23 different studios.

Discover exceptional art and enjoy the beautiful fall colours of Simcoe County. You will meet painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, wood turners, jewellery and clothing makers – a wide selection with something for everyone. This self-guided Tour roams from Barrie through the scenic Horseshoe Valley and along the Lake Simcoe shores to Orillia. Come for the day, come for the weekend!

The Halloween spirit begins to howl at Drysdales and the Evergreen Store. Open 7 days a week to help you in the search for a great pumpkin in the 4 acre pumpkin patch. The Evergreen Store will fulfill your needs from corn stocks, straw bales to devilish delights to decorate your home inside and out. 

Weekend Festivities Include: Train Rides, Bon Fire, Face Painting, Pumpkin Patch, Hat Maze and more.

16th Annual Barrie Film Festival

Haunted Harbour

Don’t forget out BARRIE COLTS are back in action at the BMC. If you like good high paced OHL hockey, this team is for you. The Toronto Maple Leafs open the season tomorrow night against Montreal... get read for another promising season!. Barrie also offer a wide range off concerts at its many downtown venues, keep an eye out, you may find one that interests you!
