Google bails on newpapers
Google announced it is killing off its print ad program with newspapers
To quote:
While we hoped that Print Ads would create a new revenue stream for newspapers and produce more relevant advertising for consumers, the product has not created the impact that we - or our partners - wanted
Seems not even Google can sell a newspaper ad these days.
Newspaper ad revenue has been in a death spiral for years, but the numbers -- and everything I am seeing and hearing from brokers -- indicate we are pretty close to impact.
