NEW, FREE MORTGAGE RATE COMPARISON APP LAUNCHED TO CANADIAN MARKET

New, Free Mortgage Rate Comparison App Launched to Canadian Market

Just in time for spring home buyers comes the latest release from RateSupermarket.ca, in the form of a new Mortgage Rate Comparison free app for the iPhone.

"Canadians are mobile savvy; these days consumers are using their phones for everything from banking to checking stock prices, now they can add mortgage rate shopping to the list," says Kelvin Mangaroo, President of RateSupermarket.ca. "When you're on the road house hunting or visiting an open house, this handy app is the only tool you'll need to help with your mortgage."

Picture this: You’re at a networking event feeling mildly uncomfortable to begin with, but ready to put your best foot forward, when out of nowhere the fast-talking-hard-sell guy assaults you. You know the type. The fast-talking-hard-sell guy is the kind of networker who seems to barely notice you as he launches into his spiel about his latest open house or mortgage rates or who knows what. Been there, done that.  ...

What this app does, is allow consumers a one stop, compare and contrast mortgage rate snapshot of rates offered by banks, credit unions and brokers. Users have options to complete a “call back” request to an institution of choice, if a particular rate catches their eye-

Other user features include a mortgage calculator- as well as a renewal reminder. This can serve as a tool to remind homeowners to start shopping rates well in advance of their renewal dates- a tool which might be particularly useful given the current interest rate environment- and the expected eventual interest rate hike.

The reminder feature, not only notifies the homeowner of the impending renewal, but takes it one step further, by supplying them with the best rates available.

"We're excited to launch the first Canadian Mortgage Rate Comparison app and enable consumers to easily compare the mortgage market when they're away from their computers. This is just the beginning of our mobile journey," added Mangaroo.

This latest app adds to the arsenal of tools and sites intending to assist consumers in their real estate shopping needs. Seemingly, more and more often, knowledge is being delivered right to the virtual doorsteps of individuals, even before the purchase process, mortgage financing or renewal begins.
