How simple?

Yesterday I attended a session hosted by Century 21 about it's website strategy and website The session was hosted by staff from the designers of the website.

We talked about strategy and design but the most important thing was about traffic.  Why do consumers really visit real estate websites?  to find out about a house they have seen, either in an ad, by driving by, word of mouth or flyer.  What do they want they want details about that house.  Have you ever tried to find a house on a real estate website like  Unless you know the MLS number or have some specific details it can be very hard.  Now with the Century 21 website it's easy, type in the address on the home page and there it is. 

Better still Century 21 agents now create a unique website for each home they list.  These websites have complete details about the house, maps, loads of photos and you cna make an appointment or print a brochure.  Each house has a domain name, usually the street address and a google ad linking to the website.

The comment was made at the session that in today's world the first showing of a house and the first appointment occurs online, the buyer has already visited the listing before they come see the house in person.  It's so simple but how well are real estate agents doing in the presentation.  Listings with 1 or no pictures, limited details, no address are the way of the past, visit and see the present/future.
