Thursdays are the new Fridays in Downtown Oakville! With buskers & giant games from 6pm – 9pm, shopping, dining specials and of course, FREE parking after 6pm, Oakville comes alive every Thursday night, on now through to September 24. Before you hit the cottage or get caught up in weekend hustle & bustle, why not start your weekend early in Downtown Oakville at Late Night Thursdays!

British Invasion Weekend & Car Show

Join us on Saturday September 19th for British-themed dancing in Bronte Village (Bronte Mall outside of British Eats and Treats and Centriller Square outside of Denninger’s), Downtown (Towne Square) and Kerr Village (Heritage Park Square) throughout the afternoon. Enjoy live music act, Strange Potatoes, for a high-spirited blast of fun in Towne Square in the afternoon and at theGingerman Social Eatery into the early evening. Or catch Classic Albums Live present the Beatles’ HELP album at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts Saturday night. (Tickets to the show are almost sold out; please visit the Oakville Centre’s website as soon as possible).

A full schedule will be posted soon. On Sunday September 20th, enjoy British Car Day© hosted annually by the Toronto Triumph Club. Gates open at 9am. Since its inaugural event in 1984, it has grown in leaps and bounds, and now draws over 1,000 British cars and 8,000 spectators, with room to grow even bigger. The event is the largest, one-day, all-British car event in North America, with visitors from Ontario, the northeast United States, the Maritime provinces, Quebec, and Manitoba, representing membership in 100 British car clubs. We have even had visitors from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Texas, the UK, and New Zealand. Quality Suites and the Sandman Oakville are offering special British Invasion rates.

35th Annual Terry Fox Run

2014 was our most successful Terry Fox Run in Oakville, thanks to YOU! We raised a record $132,000 and more participants than ever. The 35th Anniversary Oakville Terry Fox Run, in honour of this we are setting a lofty goal for 2015. Terry asked every Canadian to give $1 – there is no reason that we can’t raise $1 for each Oakville resident.
