FLASH UPDATE April 6th 8:57am 1233 home sales in Metro since Jan 1st, Further proof that the market has turned!
It is interesting that recent news stories quoted a Metro agent who recommended that home owners
"hold off listing"and to be honest, I find it very interesting that agents like that one have failed to see
the significant opportunity in front of us.
The total number of HRM MLS active* listings in August 2015 was approximately 4,500 and,
as of today it is approximately 2,800 a decrease of 1,700 available properties, which means
that while it is a "Buyer's Market" homes are selling, prices are up, and forecasts for 2016
are all positive for Halifax and area.
So what is accomplished by "holding off" putting your home on the market when there are
active buyers out there? If you are going fishing, it is probably a good idea to drop your hook
in a body of water (cause that is where the fish are) Holding off is like fishing in a "field"
Holding off listing is like trying to win the lottery without buying a ticket, a significant opportunity
is knocking at your front door, It might be a good idea to answer the door!
