Brant Street Pier

On the weekend my husband, daughter and I went to see the Brant Street Pier.  With ice cream melting down our arms (loving it regardless), reveling in the glorious sunshine, and music from Spencer Smith Park, we ventured onto the Pier.  What a fantastic thing!  There were plenty of people and loads of room to move.  Kids, dogs, parents, lovers, everyone was there with smiles on their faces.  The views are breathtaking!

The Brant Street Pier is the last essential component of The Waterfront at Downtown Burlington Project.  It most certainly made a statement at the end of a long project that included the expansion of the Burlington Art Centre, the new 380-vehicle Locust Street parking facility with retail and office space, and the addition of Discovery Landing which now includes an observatory, a restaurant, a water-jet feature and pond for skating and model boats.

The Brant Street Pier was officially opened during the Sound of Music Festival on June 14, 2013.  The design is unique, the views are amazing, the surroundings are welcoming and I anticipate many more visits to the Pier with my family.  It will never disappoint I am sure!
