While we all know that preparing a home to sell can be a daunting task. Decluttering, cleaning, painting and repairs can often add up in both time and money. But we all know it will pay off in the end.

1. An attractive walk to the front door: Clean and stage your front walk and porch. Make sure your front door has a fresh coat of paint, attractive hardware and the exterior entry way clean of debris. Always add some potted plants for that extra pop of colour.
2. Exterior Structures: Ensure that your gates, sheds and fencing are all in good working order and are attractive to potential buyers. This means cleaning, repairing or replacing anything that may not look its best.
3. General lawn maintenance: As spring is finally upon us in southern Ontario it is more important than ever to ensure your do a thorough spring yard clean up - but, don't forget the backyard too! Trim your hedges, prune your trees and remove any weeds from your lawn or garden. A quick tip to making a garden look clean and fresh is a new layer of mulch. In addition to being a great weed barrier it will add to the overall curb appeal of your home.
Preparing the exterior of your home is a very important factor to a quick sale. As savvy buyers cruise the internet for potential homes, they are definately judging this book by its cover. Invite them in! First impressions are everything and if you want to appeal to the largest audience possible it must look good.
