Running Wednesday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 25, Ingersoll's annual Harvest Festival is set to deliver five days of family fun.
The festival begins with the traditional rural-urban night hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll at the Ingersoll District memorial Arena starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Next up is the Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce food and wine tasting event at 6 p.m. at the Elm Hurst Inn and Spa on Thursday, Aug. 22. Tickets can be purchased by calling 519-485-7333 or on the Internet at: www.ingersollchamber.com
The Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll will host its annual hotdog day at the gazebo in heritage park in downtown Ingersoll starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, providing free hotdogs to the public in appreciation for its support of the club.
Following hotdog day, burgerfest will get underway between King Street and Charles Street starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.
Saturday, Aug. 24, the first full-day of Harvest Fest events will include a variety of free activities at the Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum and in Centennial Park and Victoria Park between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. They include craft vendors, lawn tractor races, demonstrations, entertainment and antique tractor and machinery displays.
An antique and classic car exhibit is among the highlights of the final day of Harvest Fest on Sunday, Aug. 25 when events run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parking will be available at Victoria Park and there will be a free shuttle bus.
