Use these helpful tips to select the perfect lighting solution for your home.
Get the best from your bulbs.
Bulbs get dirty just like everything else. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe of the dirt and they will give off more light.
Remove outdoor obstacles.
Trim overgrown hedges, shrubs or tree branches that block windows. Rearrange any patio furniture that may get in the way.
Create a mood.
Install light dimmers. They are an inexpensive way to adjust light and add atmosphere. If you need task lighting,
you can turn lights up. If you are entertaining, you can turn the lights down. This will also save energy.
Light up corners.
Create a glow in the dark corner with metal can up lights. They are small and inexpensive and can be hidden behind an end table.
Nix the overheads.
Harsh overhead lights take the charm out of a room. It makes a cozier environment if you use a few table lamps with 60 watt bulbs.
