The begining of a New Year always brings challenges and expectations for most of us. 2011 is certainly suggesting that this year will be no different. The most asked question to a Realtor® at the begining of a new year is "how is the market going to be this year". Most of us will attempt to give some answer based on whether we know what is going to happen or not. The recent changes within our industry as well as the general economy should cause us to think carefully before we answer this question to quickly.
The recent changes in our Industry has not only confused the general public, but many within our Industry as well. It is really important to understand what these changes mean and how they may impact on your buying and selling experiences. Throughout my career in Real Estate I have been activily involved in all levels of our Industry. I have served on the Board of Directors including a term as President and am currently a Commissioner with the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission. These involvements have provided me with the opportunity to hear and understand these changes first hand. As part of my presentations to both buyers and sellers I discuss thoroughly how these changes impact your decisions and what they can mean to you. In todays world we often hear knowledge is power and when buying or selling I feel it is important to have as much knowledge as possible so you can make the best decision.
