City Center

Kamloops' downtown, know as City Center has an interesting mix of Commercial Business, Residential Homes and Apartment/Condominiums.

Walking along the streets in the core of the City Center, you will find many retail businesses, restaurants, salons/spas, banks and day to day businesses. Intermingled with newer buildings, there are historical buildings that have been restored and date as far back as the late 1800's.

The Residential Homes in the East End of City Center are mostly comprised of older homes that were established in the early to mid 1940's and 1950's.

You will find more Historical Homes located in the West End of City Center that date back to as early as the late 1800's.

One of the most noted Buildings in City Center is the Old Court House that sits above Seymour Street as you enter into the core. This building overlooks the core (downtown) of Kamloops. It has been transitioned into a Art Gallery and holds Cultural Events through out the year.

The people that live in this area enjoy the City Center for it ease of access to transportation, shopping and work.
