As we try to find our way on the road to success, we my experience times of particularly acute stress. Financial problems, deadlines, production or management errors, personal conflicts or conflicts with colleagues, economic cycles that threaten the very survival of our companies or tax audits can cause an upheaval in our business operations. These are only a few examples of the stressful situations that can affect an individual. It is very hard to feel good when we are preoccupied or stressed
In my view, there is no miracle solution to stress. On the other hand, the worst response to stress is the use of alcohol and drugs to lessen the anxiety that can come with stressful situations. I have found that it is more useful to try to solve the problems that cause anxiety and stress by keeping all of my wits about me and by taking care of myself. Life is filled with different situations, some more stressful than others. I must develop the ability to work with stress while still taking good care of myself.
