Camp Easter Seal

Yesterday I had the pleasure of touring Camp Easter Seal at Watrous with many of my coworkers at CENTURY 21 Dome Realty Inc.   Camp Easter Seals is the only completely wheelchair accessible camp facility in Saskatchewan and  is dedicated to providing a fun and barrier free experience to all campers.  You could see how much the campers enjoyed being there by their excitement and smiles on their faces.

Approximately 700 children and adults attend each year.   They can experience opportunities that they may not be able to experience elsewhere.  There is a large heated indoor swimming pool, a recreation centre, rustic camping site, picnic and cookout areas, therapeutic garden, a speedboat, paddle boats and canoes, and a wheelchair accessible swing.  A great place for a vacation, meet new friends, develop new skills, participate in activities and relax, all in a safe environment.

In 2008, CENTURY 21 Canada introduced the KIDS TO CAMP program and aimed to send children to one of 16 fully accessible summer camps run by Easter Seals across the country. In the first two years of the program, thanks to participation in events like The Drop Zone, 24 Hour Relay and community events of their own design, CENTURY 21 offices from across the country have been able to send over 500 children to summer camp.

In Saskatchewan, CENTURY 21® has raised over One Million dollars to send kids to Camp Easter Seal.
